Start your hike from the Cottage, and after following the Talloires Bay, the trail begins with a path above the lake. It then becomes quite steep. After climbing two-thirds of the way up, you'll find the perfect spot to catch your breath. There’s a small bench under a Scots pine where you can rest while enjoying the view of Talloires Bay. Once you reach the Belvedere, have fun searching for the crosses engraved by the monks of the Abbey, which were used to mark the boundaries of their domain. After that, you can venture into the forest to find the peat bog that once served as a fish breeding pond for the monks. To end the walk beautifully, head to the tomb of the philosopher-writer Hippolyte Taine, which offers an incredible view of the "Grand Lac" stretching from Menthon to Annecy.
